Books on Prescription Schemes in Tameside
Books on Prescription
Self help books that health professionals recommend

Tameside Libraries operate two Books on Prescription schemes, one aimed at adults and one aimed at children, young people and their parents and carers. The schemes recommend a range of self-help books, CDs and DVDs that have been chosen by health professionals and library staff. The titles aim to help people with common mental health problems and other issues that affect health and happiness.
The schemes run together, with prescribers using the same prescription slips to recommend titles to adults and young people. Simply hand in your prescription at your nearest Tameside Library and we will get the book, CD or DVD for you.
