In Touch with Health

Tameside Libraries Information Service and Hattersley Library have self-service, electronic health information kiosks to put you 'in touch with health'. Touch screens give you information on common conditions, support groups, travel health, and much more. The kiosk links to approved health websites. Users can print out the information to take away.

Information is available in Gujarati, Bengali, Urdu, Punjabi and Chinese languages.

The Patient Information Centre

The Patient Information Centre is based at Tameside General Hospital. The Centre, which is managed by Tameside Libraries Information Service, provides confidential health and care information to Tameside General Hospital patients, people in the community with diagnosed health conditions and their carers. This service is free.
