What is the Local Groups and Organisations Database
It is the largest publicly available listing of local groups and organisations in Tameside. Compiled and maintained by Tameside Libraries Information Service, it is free to join.
How can I search the database?
- You can search the Local Groups and Organisations Database
- Type your search into the box and press enter on your keyboard.
- Your search can be for a group name, activity, general subject or another keyword
- Once you have accessed the database, click on the name of the group in the results list to view full details of the group
- You can expand your results so that you can view the full details of each group in your search
How can I add my group to the database?
Joining the database is a good way to publicise your group and attract new members and is completely free
- You will need to register to add your group to the database. You can then add your group to the database. Click on the link to register your group (If you are not logged in you will need to log in at this stage).
- Fill in the online form and press save. This will send your submitted details to us and we will publish the group.
- Alternatively you can contact us via phone, letter or email and we will send you a form to complete and return.
How can I update my group's details?
If your group is already listed on the database, you can update your details by:
- Contacting us via phone, letter or email
- You can now update your details online. There is a slightly complicated procedure to follow the first time you do this but once you are set up you will be able to edit your details easily.
- You will need to register and then send your username (not password), along with the name of your group to Tameside Libraries Information Service.
- We will assign your group to your username and send you instructions on what to do next.
Please note: The details showing in each entry on the database are supplied by the organisation itself and the information is provided in good faith. While we make reasonable efforts to update the content regularly, Tameside MBC accepts no responsibility for its accuracy.
