Police Surgeries in Libraries

Tameside residents are being encouraged to visit Police surgeries to raise any concerns or policing issues they may have.

Police Community Support Officer Gary Etches said "surgeries give residents the chance to meet an officer and chat about their community. We want to hear about any concerns and will also be giving advice on home security and personal safety as well as providing help to set up Home Watch schemes". 

He added " We are asking for the community’s input to influence the policing of their neighbourhoods, to ensure our service is focussed on the needs of local communities, addressing the issues that matter most to people. I would encourage as many people as possible to come and talk to us about what is going on in their area as the success of these surgeries relies on the support of the local community".
