'Nothing but blue skies' author comes to Hyde Library
Lifelong Manchester City fan and local author Tim Keogh is visiting Hyde Library on Monday, March 1st from 6.30 until 7.30pm. He will be talking about his book Nothing but blue skies: a North Manchester childhood and adolescence watching Manchester City in the late 60’s and early 70’s.
Tim, who works as a teacher at at St Damian's RC Science College in Ashton, began writing ‘Nothing But Blue Skies’ because he wanted to mark his upcoming 50th birthday in a unique way. The book took 18 months to write and includes biographical tales from Tim about his north Manchester childhood and adolescence and what it was like during that time to be a supporter of the blue half of Manchester.
Tim said: "I decided to write about my own upbringing in Middleton in the 1960s and 70s. A very happy childhood and adolescence was spent, largely following City around the country."
Admission to the talk is free, and Tim will be selling and signing his book on the night. For more information please ring Hyde Library on 0161 342 4450
