Skin Piercing/Skin Colouring/Electrolysis/Acupuncture

Registration

If you own or run a business and want to carry out Acupuncture, Skin Colouring, (including semi-permanent skin colouring), Skin/body Piercing, or Electrolysis you will need to be registered with Tameside MBC under the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1982.

Registration applies to the person and the premises. Each person that carries out one of the above activities will require an Operative Registration.

If a business moves premises, you will need to reapply. The licence will remain in force until either the business ceases to exist or registration is cancelled.

Applications for a licence can be obtained online or by contacting the Licensing Office. Forms must be completed and posted back to the Licensing Office, Ash Road, Droylsden, M43 6QU with the appropriate fee.
