The event was organized so that it didn’t just tick a box for the Council but focused on putting sellers face to face in front of local Construction, Public and Private sector buyers who had identified in advance a need for specific goods and/or services. It catered for sellers with pre-booked appointments, those who simply dropped in on the day, business support exhibitors and visitors alike – creating a unique networking ambience with a real buzz in the room.

“The Meet the Buyer event was really good – I met the contact from Tameside District Assemblies and within a week had received my first enquiry and now an order to rebuild a Bog Garden & two Rockeries for a local school. I think that opening up opportunities and meeting people face to face – which the event certainly did - will really make a big difference to local small businesses.” A Local Tameside Business
