Mobile Phone Mast Plans
Every autumn the council receives plans showing existing and proposed sites for mobile phone masts.
This information is published, under the commercial mobile phone operators’ ‘Ten Commitments to best Siting Practice’, to enable communities and elected members to be involved with discussions on the siting and design of equipment prior to the submission of planning applications.
Some of the sites on the list have already had planning permission, but the masts are still to be erected. Any new applications the council receives will be available for people to see and comment on. Residents will be notified, a site notice displayed, a public notice put in the newspaper and the residents association - if there is one, informed.
