Most people pick up after their dogs
This campaign aims to raise awareness about the implications of dog fouling. Not only is it unsightly and antisocial, it blights footpaths and playing fields and can pose a health risk.
In recent months Tameside Patrollers have had a crack down on dog fouling and are bringing offenders to account for their actions through the issuing of Fixed Penalty Notices.
As part of this ongoing initiative and to support the council’s zero tolerance to this, a series of action days are planned over the coming weeks.
In the last 12 months there has been a 175% increase in offenders being brought to account compared to the previous year.
