Artist Magnus Quaife will be leading informal drop in sessions where you can come and spend some time painting a selection of images and objects related to the local Gartsides brewery that closed in the late 1960’s. Quaife is working with Millstone Brewery in Mossley to recreate some one of Gartside’s celebrated beers. The paintings will be made using unusual materials including malt and yeast and will be adapted for use on the label of the beer and in a zine that will tell the story of the brewery.

The workshops will take place from 11am to 3pm on 27 June, 12 July, 2 August and 16 August.
