Bear Necessities

The cuddly 'Bear Necessities' exhibition in spring 2005 saw Portland Basin filled with teddy bears. Our teddies are one of the few objects that we keep from our childhood right through to being adults and they become personalities in their own right. There were over forty bears and their stories on display, including old bears and new bears, furry and bald bears, bears without ears and eyes, clothed bears and bears au naturel. Lots of other bears spent a fun day posing for photographs.
