Football Fever

Portland Basin Museum went football crazy in summer 2005. The 'Football Fever' exhibition focused on our great local football heritage from Ashton's own legend Geoff Hurst to the premiership heavyweights of Manchester United and Manchester City. We celebrated all things football from the kits to the club mascots, and from the dressing room to the supporters. Local football fans and football museums in the North West loaned us their memorabilia for the exhibition, which captured the excitement both on and off the pitch.
