Beside the Seaside

This fun-filled exhibition in summer 2009 looked at where Tameside people went on holiday in the past, how they travelled and dressed for the beach. The story was told though postcards, photographs, costumes and tacky souvenirs, and brought seaside memories flooding back for many visitors. Many of the objects from the exhibition are available in our new Seaside loans box, which Tameside teachers and groups can borrow free of charge.
