To receive for information, the notes of the last meeting of the Network held on 18 March 2011.

 2. Councillor Richard Kemp

To receive a presentation from Councillor Richard Kemp, Vice-Chairman of the Local Government Association on the Localism Bill and the key challenges faced by scrutiny.

3. Scrutiny Arrangements at Manchester City Council 

Presentation from Courtney Brightwell, Manchester City Council. This will include an outline of the scrutiny arrangements in Manchester, focusing on the Committee structure, officer support and key activities.

4. Current Scrutiny Review Topics

Update on current Scrutiny Review topics being undertaken by authorities.

5. Items for Future Agendas

Members are requested to suggest items for the next and future agendas.

The next meeting of the Network has been scheduled for Friday 18th November 2011, from 10.00am (for a 10.30am start). Future dates for the Network meetings have been scheduled for the following:
