Equipment and Adaptations for your home - Tameside Occupational Therapy and Manual Handling Team can provide some equipment and recommend adaptations to increase or maintain your independence.
Helping you to live independently - The Supporting People Team is responsible for making sure that services are available throughout the borough to meet your support needs.
Help with fuel costs - Social tariffs are energy deals for vulnerable customers and fuel poor customers. For current social tariffs available have a look at National Housing Federation.

Housing Standards - The Housing Standards Team deals with all aspects of Private Sector Housing. We offer information and give advice to tenants, owners and landlords of occupied properties in relation to disrepair and overcrowding. We inspect properties where necessary and act in accordance with housing legislation and guidelines.

Improving your home - Anchor Staying Put Tameside is a not for profit home improvement agency run by Anchor Trust in partnership with TMBC to help older and disabled home owners who are over 60.

has a project called First Call which is for people over the age of 60.
Making your home warmer - The Energy Saving Trust
is a non-profit organisation that provides free impartial advice tailored to suit you. Their advice can help you save money and fight climate change by reducing carbon dioxide emissions from your home.
AWARM is a referral process which enables frontline staff to identify people in need and refer them to the Energy Saving Trust Advice Centre
for help in reducing their energy bills. This can range from debt advice, benefits checks, insulation and heating grants or advice on switching suppliers.
