As the only independent sixth form college in Tameside, we specialise in qualifications for the school leaver.

We are a friendly open college; small enough for people to get to know each other, but large enough to provide the diversity and breadth of courses required by students in the 21st century.

Our aim is to provide a college in which all students have the chance to do well and our results prove our success in this.

Support is available in all areas of college life, from well-qualified teaching staff, careers guidance and tutor support. Ashton Sixth Form College bridges the gap from school to Higher Education or the employment world. Students can enjoy just the right amount of freedom in a more adult atmosphere, whilst still benefiting from the caring and friendly environment that is unique to a sixth formcollege with superb facilities all on one site.

Hyde Clarendon provides you with all the benefits of a sixth form college and more. The College provides excellent facilities for school leavers to develop their knowledge and skills through academic or vocational study. We have an established track record of high academic standards, have excellent results and put our students first. Our student support is on hand to ensure that all our students get the very best learning experience and our friendly and supportive tutors will guide you through your studies and make sure you get all the help you need to succeed.

The College's tradition of excellence has been complemented with new sports facilities, a new Performing Arts Centre and a thriving student social space which provides a base for students to socialise, gain careers advice and access student services.

College life is about more than your studies. It is also about broadening your experience and confidence and there is an opportunity for all our students to get involved in a wide range of social and extra curricular activities including football, rugby and other sports, the Debating Society, video production, student newspaper, Duke of Edinburgh Awards, and work experience in a field related to your intended career.

Our students succeed in many different subject areas and the College provides the skills and support you'll need to progress to Higher Education or into employment.

All Saints Catholic College offers Sixth Form education in a welcoming, stimulating environment within an 11-18 school. All Saints concentrates on the provision of quality teaching and offers courses in a wide range of 'A' levels. Vocational courses in Health and Social care and Travel and Tourism are also offered and the CACHE Diploma in Nursery Nursing now has a proven record of success.

Expectations of Sixth Form students are very high and so students and teachers act in partnership to ensure success. An extensive range of guidance and support is available to all students particularly when applications for university or employment are being made.

Being a language college All Saints also provides wide-ranging apportunities to study a variety of languages at advanced, intermediate and beginner levels.

Students are encouraged to participate in a number of extracurricular activities to enhance and develop their skills and talents. All Saints is a Catholic College but also welcomes applications from non-Catholics.

Audenshaw School

Audenshaw School Sixth Form provides a traditional coeducational education for students within a non-denominational 11-18 school.

Audenshaw offers 20 subjects to A2 level and has a clear intention to give students the best possible education in order for them to study the course of their choice at university.

A well-structured system of pastoral support centering on personal tutors combined with small class sizes, allows students to be closely supported throughout their courses, with particular attention given to the university applications procedure. Expectations of students are high, both in terms of academic achievement and standards of dress and behaviour.

Students are encouraged to take part in the wide variety of extra-curricular activities on offer, and Audenshaw is proud of its reputation for sporting excellence.

Tameside College is one of the best vocational colleges in the country and is home to the North of England Centre for Engineering Excellence. Its superb teaching and training facilities include Plumbing, Construction, Motor Vehicle and Engineering, Catering and Bakery, Hairdressing and Beauty Therapy, Sports anf Fitness, Art and Design, IT and Computing and Health and Social Care. That means that, as a student at Tameside College, you will have access to some of the very best teaching and training facilities in the UK.

Tameside College has a completely different atmosphere to school. You are treated like an adult and you will be offered a wide range of activities to help you with your studies as well as sports and social activities. At the same time, you will find College staff are well qualified, friendly and supportive. Student support is available on an open, flexible basis so that you can access any help you may need throughout the College day.

The College offers two types of courses for School Leavers. Full time courses are offered in a wide range of subject areas and at a variety of levels to suit everyone. Work-based routes combine a College course with skills gained in the work place. Work-based learning is also offered across a variety of subject areas.
