Index to Planning Services

Welcome to the Council's Town Planning service. The service is split into two service units, Strategic Planning and Development Control.

Strategic Planning is responsible for the Local Development Framework, the Tameside Unitary Development Plan, Conservation Areas, Listed Buildings, Regeneration, Trees and Woodlands, and Local Agenda 21 matters

Development Control is responsible for the processing of planning applications and handles enquiries as to the need for planning permission. The unit also deals with breaches of planning control.
