Authority's Monitoring Report
The Council is no longer required to submit its Monitoring Report to the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government as the Governments approach to monitoring procedures have become more flexible through Royal Assent of the Localism Bill 2011 
. The legislation removes the previous need for conformity with mandatory national indicators. Although the format of future monitoring may change the Council views it as an essential part of the plan, monitor, review cycle of effective planning.
