Joint Core Strategy Scoping Report Sustainability Appraisal
Under the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004, Local Development Documents (LDDs) are subject to Sustainability Appraisal (SA). The first stage in this process is the production of a SA Scoping Report. The Core Strategy is the first Development Plan Document to be prepared by the Council and the SA Scoping Report, was the subject of consultation with those bodies required by government guidance in 2009. The January 2010 version published here contains the amendments to the SA Framework that takes account of the consultees' responses, as reported in Appendix D. The SA Framework will be used as a basis for appraising the Core Strategy draft policies and other LDDs in the future.
Joint Core Strategy Issues and Options Report Sustainability Appraisal
The following report, which will be available when the Council consults on the Issues and Options stage of preparing the Joint Core Strategy and Development Management Policies Development Plan Document fulfils the requirements of the Planning Act to undertake a sustainability appraisal of Development Plan Documents.
