Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council has published the Draft Fairfield Conservation Area Appraisal and Management Proposal document for public consultation. 

Tameside Council has a statutory duty to periodically review its conservation areas and their boundaries. It is also required to publish proposals for their preservation and enhancement.

The draft documents describe the historical development and special character and appearance of each conservation area, suggest boundary changes and present proposals for management and enhancement, including a series of design principles.

An Executive Decision to approve the draft document for public consultation was given on Friday 21 January 2011. As a result, the draft document will be subject to a period of public consultation from Monday 18 July 2011-Monday 29 August 2011. Please note that representations should be received no later than Monday 29 August 2011. It is the Council’s policy not to accept late representations.

Comments must have a name and address: anonymous comments will not be considered. You may request to be notified, at a specific address, of the adoption of the Fairfield Conservation Area Appraisal and Management Proposals document.
