(CORA)
A new and exciting, free confidential community based Information, Advice and Support service to help older people remain healthy, active and well in their own community.

Are you:
- Aged 50 yrs or over and living in Tameside?
- Reasonably fit and active?
- Honest, trustworthy and get on well with people?
- Have a few hours a week to spare?
Would you like to help make your community a better place to live?
Could you help an older person feel valued and safe, and make sure that they are getting the support they need to stay independent?
If your answer is yes;

You may be interested in becoming a volunteer CORA Advisor, as part of a new community project aimed at improving the health and well-being of older people living in Tameside.
As a volunteer CORA Advisor, you will:
- Be part of a team of people who want to contribute to their local community
- Meet new friends and enjoy yourself
- Learn about support services for older people in Tameside
- Be well trained by Age Concern Tameside, who will:
- Support you in your role
- Make sure that you have all the information and guidance you need to do a good job - Make a real difference to someone’s life!

Your role will be to visit older people in their own homes to conduct a Check and Support visit.
Full training will be given and expenses will be paid.
