A free, confidential community based Information, Advice and Support Service to help older people remain healthy, active and well in their own community.

Are you:

  • Aged 50 years or over and living in Tameside?
  • Reasonably fit and active?
  • Honest, trustworthy and get on well with people?
  • Able to spare a few hours each week?

Would you like to help make your community a better place to live?

If the answer is yes;

You may be interested in becoming a volunteer with the Openings Doors for Older People Service which is aimed at improving the health and well-being of older people living in Tameside.

As a volunteer you will:

  • Be part of a team of people who want to contribute to their local community
  • Meet new friends and enjoy yourself
  • Learn about the services available to older people in Tameside
  • Make a real difference to someone’s life!

Full training will be given and expenses paid.
