Charity Golf Day
Tameside mayor Cllr John Sullivan is teeing off plans for a charity golf day.
The event is to be held at Fairfield Golf & Sailing Club, Audenshaw, on Friday 2nd October 2009 from 11.30am.
Cllr Sullivan is looking for teams to take part and help raise money for his Charity Appeal Fund.
The competition is a four person Stableford team event (best two scores to count) with a ¾ handicap allowance. There is a handicap limit of 24 for gentlemen and 28 for ladies and prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place, together with prizes for the longest drive and nearest the pin on selected holes.
The entrance fee is £140 per team, to include a three course dinner. All teams must have four players and teams can be mixed.
The competition is open to a maximum of 19 teams, so please book your place early to avoid disappointment.
Cllr Sullivan said: “It promises to be a great day and will be a good opportunity to raise valuable funds for a variety of local charities.”
