Help with claiming benefits
Help with claiming benefits
The Benefits Bus is back in town next week with staff on board to help people with their benefit claims.
The bus will be visiting Ashton Market and Hyde Town Hall from Monday 8th February 2010.
Staff on the bus can assist residents to make a claim for help with paying their rent and council tax if they are on a low income or out of work. They can also assist with claims for other benefits.
The bus is shared between 13 local authorities in and around Greater Manchester. It has disabled access and private interview rooms.
It is also equipped with a satellite, which links to Tameside Council so residents can have their benefit entitlement checked straight away.
The bus is stopping between 10.00am and 3.00pm at:
- Monday 8th Feb - Ashton Market
- Tuesday 9th Feb - Hyde Town Hall, Greenfield Street
- Wednesday 10th Feb - Ashton market
- Thursday 11th Feb - Ashton Market
- Friday 12th Feb - Hyde Town Hall, Greenfield Street
