Free swimming for Tameside's future stars

Tot's will be making a splash in Tameside in 2012.

For Tameside Sports Trust  is offering free swimming for under 5’s during 2012 to celebrate the London 2012 Olympic  and Paralympic Games .

With the Games fast approaching Tameside Sports Trust, along with Tameside Council, want everyone in the borough to feel part of the Games and is hoping that the offer will encourage more children and their families to have fun and get active.

Children under 5 can swim for free at any of Tameside’s swimming pools, during general swimming times (does not include peak times at Hyde Leisure Pool i.e evenings,weekends & school holidays).

To take advantage of the offer, people just need to register their children at any Tameside Sport Trust centre and then the fun can begin!

And as part of the Trust’s commitment to increasing activities for young people they will also be introducing a wider programme including ‘Little Ducks’ swimming lessons for 3-4 year olds, ‘Little Tumblers’ gymnastics lessons for 3-4 year olds, ‘Little Groovers’ dance sessions for 3-6 year olds and ‘Little Kickers’ football sessions for 3-6 year olds.
