Tulip Sunday

Forget tulips in Amsterdam, Tameside’s Tulip Sunday is just around the corner on the 27th April in Stamford Park, Stalybridge.

The ever popular event, organised by Stalybridge District Assembly and generously supported by New Charter Housing Trust, promises to be the biggest and best yet with fun for the whole family.

This family fun day will be centred around Stamford Parks spectacular and colourful display of tulips and will include the ever popular fun fair, dog show and free activity stalls. The day starts at 12.00 noon and activities go on until 4.00pm.

New activities for this year include a sports tournament at the new games courts, a climbing wall and a treasure trail. For those who are feeling energetic, brand new rowing boats will be available for hire on the boating lake with the Stamford Belle providing pleasure trips following her recent refurbishment works.

The more adventurous visitor can handle the animals at the Living Zoo and owl sanctuary who will both be putting in an appearance on the day. Gardeners Question Time will also be making its first appearance in the park.

The action then continues throughout the day with an interactive drumming workshop, street theatre and a bouncy castle.

So why not make a date in your diary today - this is a day not to be missed!
