The council’s Deputy Leader, Cllr John Taylor said: “We know that during this type of weather communications becomes crucial for the public. More than at any other time they need to know what to do in an emergency and who to contact.
“Although the snow and ice is seen by some as fun and exciting, for others, particularly older people and the vulnerable, it is a time of concern and worry so we are trying to de everything we can to alleviate their concerns.
“I hope people keep this booklet safe because I feel sure it will prove useful in the months to come, especially if this current weather continues.”
