Tameside's Regeneration Areas

Tameside has four Priority Regeneration Neighbourhoods.  These are in Hattersley, Ashton, Denton South and Smallshaw/Hurst.  The areas are based around the most disadvantaged areas within Tameside where problems such as poor health, unemployment and crime are disproportionately higher than elsewhere in the Borough.  Each area has a Neighbourhood Partnership which includes residents, service providers and councillors who work together to try to address issues within the areas.
