Kerbcraft Programme
In 2002 the Department for Transport, approved funding for three years for the council to take part in the National Pilot Network of Child Pedestrian Training Schemes. As the first tranche of funding has now finished Tameside Council have decided to provide funding for the continuation of the scheme. This has enabled us to broaden the scheme into more schools throughout the borough. Training has now been carried out in the following schools:
