For the fourth year in succession Primary School Catering has been accredited with the prestigious award of Hospitality Assured.
What is Hospitality Assured?
Hospitality Assured is The Standard for Service and Business Excellence in the hospitality industry. The British Quality Foundation and Quality Scotland Foundation have endorsed the standard as meeting the criteria in the EFQM Business Excellence Model. The Business Excellence Model is widely acknowledged in all industries throughout the world as reflecting best practice. Hospitality Assured (HA) is therefore a world class standard - no other standard in hospitality has this recognition.
The Standard for Service and Business Excellence comprises 10 steps/subject areas.
The ten steps focus on the following subject areas:
- Customer Research
- The Customer Promise
- Customer Satisfaction Improvement
- Business Planning
- Operational Planning
- Service Recovery
- Service Delivery
- Training and Development
- Resources
- Standards of Performance
The ten steps comprise 49 key requirements or criteria. These are all measurable objectives. The standard however is not prescriptive. It does not lay down precisely how objectives will be met as these vary from organisation to organisation, according to that organisation's customer promise.
