Awards Evening for Primary School Catering
Following another very successful year, Tameside primary school meals service celebrated with their third annual awards evening on Friday 18th July at Dukinfield Town Hall. The event includes a dinner, presentation and entertainment, this year having a theme – the school meals Oscars!
The service continues to receive national recognition for their efforts and have again retained Hospitality Assured status. This award puts the school meals service in the same category as other caterers recognised for service excellence, from the Ritz in London, to De Vere Hotels and Centre Parks.
The event was designed to not only recognise the success of the service as a whole, but those individuals who work so hard, making a difference to thousands of children every day as they provide quality school meals throughout Tameside that their customers enjoy.
The Civic Mayor of Tameside, Cllr. Jack Davies was in attendance to present the awards, alongside many other council dignitaries. The evening went well and was enjoyed by all, including many suppliers. The event has been has been possible thanks to kind sponsorship from food and equipment suppliers
Barbara Hulme, Service Unit Manager of Primary School Catering says “We have had yet another very successful year and I am proud of each and every one of the talented staff who show great commitment on a daily basis. I am pleased that we are able to recognise in some small way at the awards evening, the part they play in affecting the wellbeing of the children of Tameside who enjoy the meals we serve”.
