North West Scrutiny Support Officers' Network

(NWSSON)

The North West Scrutiny Support Officers' Network (NWSSON) was established in 2004 and is administered by Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council. 

The Network meets three times per year, allowing officers supporting scrutiny to come together to:

1. Discuss common issues and problems relating to scrutiny.
2. Share good practice.
3. Provide feedback/consultation from the North West to the National Scrutiny Networks Forum organised by the Centre for Public Scrutiny .

The Secretary to the Network (Gina Murphy) disseminates information and examples of good practice to the members of the Network and acts as a point of contact.  She also compiles agendas and minutes for meetings and provides logistical support.
