3. That consideration be given to the establishment of a similar group in Tameside to the Friends of Knowsley Young Carers. Accepted Consideration will be given to whether it is appropriate to establish a similar group. Lucy Davies December 2006
4. That every school in the Borough identifies a school co-ordinator with the responsibility for young carers. Accepted A model policy for young carers was given to each school for them to use last term and schools were also asked to name a co-ordinator as a point of reference for young carers and also for staff who wanted to discuss issues about young carers. 5. That homecare workers working for both the in-house and independent providers, receive training on the needs of young carers. Accepted Needs of Young Carers will be included in the existing training programmes for home care workers Stephanie Butterworth By April 2007
6. That further consideration be given to the involvement of the independent providers during the care planning process. Rejected It is not possible to include providers in the Care Planning process.
