Street Lighting
Our Service Charter for this area is as follows:
The Council is responsible for street lighting to make the Borough a safe and secure place to live.
We will:
- Inspect all lighting (and illuminated street furniture) tocheck for lights not working on a monthly cycle.
- Keep 98% of street lights working at all times
- Repair faulty street lights within 7 working days (where the problem is not an electrical feed).
- The electricity company has a Service Charter for repairing faults of this nature of 15 days.
- Deal with dangerous faults (e.g. leaning columns/exposed electrical wiring) within 24 hours to make them safe

- reporting faulty lighting to us
- reporting vandalised bollards to us
