Other Key Achievements
Tameside MBC now has 62 recycling sites spread throughout the Borough collecting a variety of materials.
All properties, including rural housing are now covered by the blue bin paper collection scheme.
All properties in Tameside with a garden have access to the brown bin collection service.
55,000 properties are covered by the green bin collection service for glass, cans and plastics.
The Recycling Section regularly attends meetings with officers from other Greater Manchester Authorities to discuss the future of waste management in the region.
