Other Key Achievements

Tameside MBC now has 61 recycling sites spread throughout the Borough collecting a variety of materials.

All properties, including rural housing are now covered by the blue bin paper collection scheme.

All properties in Tameside with a garden have access to the brown bin collection service.

88,000 properties are covered by a Managed waste collection which includes a kerbside recycling collection for glass, cans and plastic bottles.

The Recycling Section regularly attends meetings with officers from other Greater Manchester Authorities to discuss the future of waste management in the region.
