If you are going into higher education there is money available to help you, whether from the government, your place of study and other sources - Directgov - Student Finance

If you are planning to train in the Health Care Professions (.e.g Nursing, Midwifery, Radiography etc.) you will also need to look at the NHS Burseries that are available. More information is available here: www.nhsstudentgrants.co.uk
