Independent Inspection Reports

How do I obtain independent inspection reports about registered providers?

Registered providers are inspected regularly. The inspection is undertaken by Ofsted. You will require Adobe Acrobat to read the inspection reports or ask for their registration number and look on the Ofsted website.

Childminders

Are inspected regularly by Ofsted. Ask the childminder to show you their copy of the previous inspection report.

Sessional Day Care and Full Day Care

Are inspected regularly by Ofsted. Inspection reports will be available on the internet, from Ofsted's web site.

Some sessional day care and full day care providers are subject to combined education and childcare inspections by Ofsted in respect of funded three and four year olds in their care. Reports of these inspections are also to be found on the internet, from the Ofsted website.
