Who Can Apply?

Organisations who provide good quality childcare who are facing short-term financial difficulties. Out of school clubs, day nurseries providing full day care, and neighbourhood nurseries in the voluntary, private and maintained sectors (including schools) are eligible to apply. Neighbourhood nurseries can usually only apply at the end of their three year start up grant.

In all cases the childcare must operate from an area of disadvantage.

How Much Can You Apply For?

There is not a fixed sum. Your application should demonstrate the financial shortfall you need to sustain your provision.

What Can You Spend It On?

Staffing costs, rent, heating, lighting, consumables etc.
