The NMDS-SC is the sector's first attempt at gathering valuable data about its workforce; data which will, in turn, help with workforce planning:
The benefits to the sector are:
- A unique Establishment Profile provides a summary of the NMDS-SC information benchmarked against data derived from similar establishments in their region. The profiles contain information on workforce demographics, occupational structure, pay levels and qualification levels.
- Quality Assurance
- Information to assist the development of the Personalisation Agenda
- Staff development or business development funding
- Plan business activity to determine the skills base needed now and in the future
- Provides an electronic staff record system to employers who do not have one
- Enables informed business decisions

(NMDS – SC) on line training sessions
We have 2 NMDS – SC training courses organised that will be delivered by Skills for Care which are free to candidates, the first one on the 5 October is to assist creating a new account and the second one on the 7 October has been developed to support existing users to update to access TSI funding – you cannot access Training Strategy Implementation funding without an annual update and 90% of employee information input.
