May 23 - 1842 - A stage coach service began between Ashton and Oldham

June 1 - 1889 - Foundation stone laid St Stephen’s Church Hyde by Mrs Ashton

June 14 - 1888 - Railway accident at Hyde Junction 4 killed 14 injured

June 16 - 1928 - Black Knight Pageant revived in Ashton

June 20 - 1921 - Employment Exchange opened on Market Street, Stalybridge

June 23 - 1893 - Commissioner of Peace for the Borough of Hyde appointed

June 24 - 1821 - Samuel Waller a preacher was given 3 months in prison for holding service in Ashton
