The Tameside Housing Advice Service 
can help you with your housing problems and give you information on a wide range of issues including:
- Homelessness/threatened homelessness
- Domestic violence
- Housing register and allocations
- Landlord and tenant advice
- Specialised accommodation
- Re-housing options
- Referrals to appropriate agencies
- Rent Deposit Scheme
Tameside Council's Homelessness Services and the Housing Register are managed by New Charter Housing Trust from the Tameside Housing Advice (THA) Service .
The Council has a statutory responsibility for providing homelessness, housing advice and options services. The Council's plans for tackling homelessness are set out in its 5 year Homelessness Strategy 2008-13.
