The Tameside Housing Advice Service
can help you with your housing problems and give you information on a wide range of issues including:
- Homelessness/threatened homelessness
- Domestic violence
- Housing register and allocations
- Landlord and tenant advice
- Specialised accommodation
- Re-housing options
- Referrals to appropriate agencies
Tameside Council's Homelessness Services and the Housing Register are managed by New Charter Housing Trust
from the Tameside Housing Advice (THA) Service
.
The Council has a statutory responsibility for providing homelessness, housing advice and options services. The Council's plans for tackling homelessness are set out in its 5 year Homelessness Strategy 2008-13.
In 2010 the Homelessness Strategy and its accompanying action plan were reviewed. The achievements of the strategy so far have been outlined in the update 3.5 MB
alongside the new and remaining objectives still being worked on.
