The Centre is part of the Visual Impairment Service and aims to help people with a visual impairment to retain or regain their independence and to learn new skills and adapt existing ones.

What can Vision First offer you?
Information and Advice
The centre has a wide range of information available in large print, Braille, audio cassette and computer disk. Staff are also available to offer advice on subjects about visual impairment. We can give you information and advice on other organisations that may be able to help.
Equipment
A range of equipment designed for visually impaired people is on display at the centre to help with:
- everyday living
- mobility
- low vision - e.g. magnifiers, lighting
- computers
What Else is on Offer at Vision First
There are many different groups, activities and courses on offer. These can help you to adapt your skills in order to overcome difficulties caused by sight problems or simply help build your confidence or motivation.
