Off The Blocks 2006

Tameside Sports Development Unit held the Indoor Athletics Off The Blocks Competition this year at the Copley Centre in Stalybridge.

Over 40 teams entered the competition in heats over 2 weeks, with winning teams from each heat entering Small and Large Schools finals.

Each team competed in a number of running and relay events, javelin, seated throw, standing long jump and triple jump.

A representative from East Cheshire Harriers and Tameside Athletic Club came along to view the athletes at work and offered membership to all players.
