Quotes from spectators

'Saturday was my first visit to proms in the park. I took my father who is 83 years old and full time carer to my sister who has Downs syndrome and physically disabled. It was one of the most memorable experiences he has ever had!! waving his union flag! Fantastic!! Some of the songs brought tears to his eyes, especially the song 'Smile' which has poignant memories for him. I too would also like to say well done to Tameside Council for putting on this spectacular show, fantastic!!'

'just wanted to say that I did attend the Proms on Saturday at Hyde with my family and friends and it was outstanding! We loved every minute. The atmosphere, singing, music were perfect. Well done for organising such a brilliant local event. Can't wait for next year. I will spread the word!'
