Visitor Information

The Tourist Information Centre is here to serve residents as well as visitors to the area. Run by the Tourism Unit of Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council, we are a part of the North West Tourist Board Regional Network of around 50 centres and can offer friendly expert advice on a wide range of topics.

Up-to-date information about what's on at local theatres, cinemas, concert halls, and other places of entertainment, plus what special events are coming soon.

Information about local restaurants. Where to find that special place for an important occasion. Details of small cafes and tea rooms and where to go for a quiet drink or lively night out.

Local walks and tours

Information on local walks and organized events by the Country Park Wardens, local coach tours and sightseeing excursions, as well as Blue Badge guided walks around Tameside's attractions. Without doubt the best way of discovering what the local area is all about.

Travel Bookings

We are agents for both National Holidays, National Express coach journeys, Maynes coach journeys, Maynes holidays and all forms of rail travel. You can also book tickets for shows, events and festivals via our ticketmaster facility

Fax and Photocopying

Send a fax to virtually anywhere in the world or have that important document copied. Staff will be pleased to advise you on our competitive charges for these services.
