Text Version
“Today is Wednesday the 11th of November, Remembrance Day. In just a few minutes it will be eleven o’clock, the time the guns fell silent to end the First World War in 1918. We are supporting the Royal British Legion’s call for a two minute silence and we invite you to pause and remember those who gave their lives for their country in the First and Second World Wars and in more than seventy other conflicts since.”
“They shall grow not old as we that are left grow old. Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them. We shall remember them.”
