The Visual Impairment Service is for anyone living in Tameside, their families and carers, who experience problems with everyday activities due to significant sight loss. You do not need to be registered blind or partially sighted to use the service.

The service consists of a team of staff including rehabilitation workers and assistants, low vision worker and a counsellor and hospital support worker. 

The team covers all of Tameside and aims to offer a comprehensive service that enables and promotes independence.
