Register to Vote
You can only vote in elections if your name is on the Register of Electors.
The electoral register is a list of names of all those people eligible to vote. A new register is published every 1 December, but people can add their names throughout the year. You may register to vote if you are:
- living at an address in Tameside
- 18 years old or over during the life of the register
- a British or Commonwealth citizen
- a citizen of the Irish Republic or other European Union state not otherwise disqualified from registration
