Droylsden Canal side Quarter is a mixed use development intended to complement and extend the centre of the existing town. The central focus point of the development is a new marina to be created off the Ashton Canal.
The £100m mixed use waterside development will comprise of 92 three and four bedroom executive homes, 291 one and two bedroom apartments and 45,000 sq/ft of office and retail space. It also has further commercial opportunities for a hotel, café, children's nursery and fitness club.
The Council's Partner, developers, the Watkin Jones Group, are now making arrangements to move onto the site and start the first phase of development, which will include a residential apartment block fronting the canal and infrastructure works.
