Christmas Arrangements 2009/2010

Christmas Collection Dates

• Monday 21st December 2009 – No change to service
• Tuesday 22nd December 2009 – No change to service
• Wednesday 23rd December 2009 – No change to service
• Thursday 24th December 2009 – No change to service
• Friday 25th December 2009 – Friday collections will be made on Thursday 24th December 2009.

New Year Collection Dates

• Monday 28th December 2009 – No change to service (Note this is the Bank Holiday)
• Tuesday 29th December 2009 – No change to service
• Wednesday 30th December 2009 – No change to service
• Thursday 31st December 09 – No change to service
• Friday 1st January 2010 – Friday collections will be made on Thursday 31st December 2009.

Normal service resumes week commencing 4th January 2010.

Other Information

There will be no Brown bin service, or bulky collection service between the 21st December 2009 and the 1st January 2010.

Please ensure all bins are presented for collection no later than 7.00am on your day of collection. During the holiday period we have particular problems gaining access to areas; please park considerately so the refuse vehicle and crew can gain access.

Please recycle as much waste as possible this Christmas by using your blue recycling bins, green recycling bins and brown recycling bins. Collection dates are as printed on your most recent leaflet. Please note that real Christmas trees will be collected after the festive period. Please leave these at the side of your brown bin on collection day.

Household Waste Recycling Facilities

Don’t forget that recyclable materials can also be taken to one of the many Household Waste Recycling Facilities around the borough.

Household Waste Recycling Facilities will be open and can be found at the following locations:

• Ash Road, Droylsden
• Bayley Street, Stalybridge

These facilities will be closed on Christmas Day and New Years Day.
