Extended Opening Hours
Thursday 15th November - From today, every thursday night will be late night shopping in Ashton. This will include the Ashton Arcades and Ladysmith Shopping Centres. Contact individual stores for specific opening times.
Ashton Library Presents - Doctor Who Day
Saturday 22nd November - Come to Tameside Central Library and Art Gallery, Old Street, Ashton-u-Lyne on 22nd November between 11.00am and 3.00pm and you can meet the Hyde Fundraisers Doctor Who characters including Scarecrow, Clockwork Droid, Cybermen, Donna Noble and Davros.
There will be classic daleks, as well as crafts, quizzes, a Tardis trail and more. Come along on the day in fancy dress - you could win a prize!
Ashton’s Historic Market Hall Re-opens
Friday 28th November - Ashton's Market Hall re-opens, and you can be one of the first to step into the historic and successful rebuilt market hall. The new market hall will boast over 80 stalls, and will be open for the first time since a fire devastated it in 2004.
See Santa, and His Real Life Reindeers
For an alternative family festive treat, head to the Ladysmith Shopping Centre in Ashton. Bring the children to see Santa with his sleigh and real live reindeers!
Magic, Miming and Balloon Modelling
Throughout the Christmas period, Ashton town centre and the Arcades shopping centre will be hosting magicians, balloon modelling clowns, and mime artists.
These include Sean Smart the pocket magician, who will be mingling amongst the people of Ashton and enchanting them with his pocket magic skills. There's also Mr Holly the stunning mime artist who will be performing in Ashton's Arcades shopping centre.

Support Willow Wood Hospice this Christmas
Willow Wood are organising Ashton's first ever Christmas Santa Dash with lots of Santa’s on a 3K run around Ashton Town Centre. For more details and an entry form contact 0161 330 7788.
